In the journey towards a more equitable and inclusive society, it’s essential for everyone to actively engage in conversations about privilege and allyship, especially for those who most benefit from privileges deriving from gender, class, race, the socio-economic system, education … to name but a few. Privilege & Allyship is an introspective workshop to promote understanding, empathy, and action.
In a safe and supportive space, participants will explore the complex topics of privilege through a feminist lens in order to reflect on ways to become better allies to those who experience systemic discrimination, oppression and violence. We believe that dismantling systems of inequality requires collective effort, and this workshop is an opportunity to engage in meaningful dialogue, critical self-reflection, and purposeful growth.
This workshop is designed to be inclusive and respectful of diverse experiences and identities. We welcome all people, but we highly encourage cisgender, straight (and white) people to join us in this conversation.
