Madame Patate

Biography

DJ and composer Madame Patate has been a vibrant presence on the European club scene since 1997, delivering eclectic mixes that span from rave to experimental ambient, IDM to electro — and much more. Drawing from her vast vinyl collection, she blends post-punk, bizarre pop, electronic and acoustic gems, with a taste for the elegant and the unclassifiable. Her sets offer a zero-carbon musical journey, leaping joyfully across eras and continents, where timeless hits rub shoulders with underground treasures in a colorful mix of styles.

Since 2007, Madame Patate has also been composing music, both solo and in collaboration — notably with Klimperei, creating whimsical, dreamlike soundscapes using small sound objects, and under the name Quenotte, exploring more experimental terrains.

A true multidisciplinary artist, she is also a performer (Collectif Guilux(e), Sassy Cabaret, Consoeurie des Connasse, Les Nécrophages…), sound editor/designer for Radio Panik, and an active member of various artistic and activist collectives. Through her many creative aliases, Émilie constantly reinvents herself — a figure of infinite multiplicity.
