Biography
Garance is a non-profit organisation founded in 2000 in Brussels. It works to prevent gender-based violence by offering feminist self-defence training that is accessible to all women – including cisgender, transgender, and non-binary individuals – with no physical ability requirements. Garance adopts a participatory approach aimed at strengthening participants’ self-confidence and autonomy. It organises workshops tailored to the specific needs of girls, gender minorities, racialised women, and women with disabilities.
