Biography
Leyla Cabaux (she/her) is a queer black graphic designer whose artistic work is part of her intersectional feminist activism. Her designs, borrowed from the style of propaganda posters, highlight messages of liberation at the intersection of several struggles.
For Homografía, the artist reinterprets the expression “True Love never dies” in “Queer Love never dies”. Queer love is seen as an affront in the cisheteroqueerphobic society we live in. Leyla Cabaux creates a triptych of portraits of queer people in order to elevate queer love to the rank of the Holy Trinity. Tripty· Queer is a punch-artwork that visibilizes bodies considered “abnormal” by society and the queer community.
