“Virginie, Virginia, Simone and Me”: Transmission, Feminisms & Collective Struggles — 90'

As part of our programming, we invite you to join a public conversation based on Virginie, Virginia, Simone and Me, a two-part podcast by Isa Stragliati that traces the history of family planning in France through personal and collective memories.

Moderated by Sara Lovisetto, this panel brings together three committed voices from different generations and perspectives:

  • Isa Stragliati, sound artist and creator of the podcast
  • Florence Hougardy, psychologist and coordinator of the Family Planning Center in Jette, active in LGBTQI+ and HIV prevention initiatives
  • Stephen Barris, coordinator of Ex Æquo and the Rainbow Health House, with a long history in global LGBTQI+ advocacy

Together, we will reflect on the notion of transmission in feminist and community health movements:
What do we inherit from past struggles?
How do we preserve and carry forward rights that are constantly under threat?
And why do terms like feminism seem absent from political and medical discourse today?

The discussion will be accessible to all audiences, with space for collective reflection and exchange with the public.
