Reyer van Barneveld

Biography

REYER (agender, b. 1995) is a queer/more-than artist from Amsterdam working at the intersection of choreography, visual art, and club culture. With roots in trampoline jumping and dancefloors, their practice emerges from movement histories both rural and rave. A long-time visual artist and recent graduate of SNDO (School for New Dance Development), REYER organizes and co-manages queer spaces including Raum and sSSsSSss. Their work explores archival rupture, psychogeographic body-mapping, neurodiverse performance, and noise-as-narrative—crafting soft interventions in an overstimulating world. Recent presentations include Oude Kerk, AQF, FOAM, and a constellation of queer nightlife venues.
