METHANOL dall is a cryptonym for one of the identities embodied by METHANAL doll.
These 20 minutes are intended to be halfway between performance and ritual. Sometimes taking the form of a scientific presentation on sand and the molecules that make it up, with the aim of defending the thesis of a correlation between sand molecules and violence against women. Hijacking the expression of the grain of sand and the crude and semi-developed formulae of the explosive molecules naturally present in silica, calcium carbonate and quartz; to trigger a violent and irreversible chemical reaction together. Deeply inspired by the book Chiennes de garde.
METHANOL dall talks about feminicides, particularly those of women in Mexico, and uses the power of words to make herself feel good. METHANOL dall would like to offer you a moment together to free ourselves from the aggressors’ hold on our bodies.
Trigger warning
This narration will end with a live song about the torture inflicted on women because they are women.
