LIVE MUSIC: Chose

Fri 27 June 2025
Beursschouwburg — Beurscafe — 21:30

At the intersection of queer electro-pop, poetic urgency, and radical softness, chose is the sonic playground of Nath Jonniaux. Researcher, parent, and fierce wordsmith, Jonniaux crafts sharp, genre-blurring music that navigates the margins with grace and grit. From slam to chanson, their lyrics dismantle norms and open space for becoming.

In collaboration with the Trans* Solidarity Fund Belgium.

Chose

Live music — Belgium — 30''

Behind chose – a queer electro-pop creation – is Nath Jonniaux: researcher, father and stepfather to three children, but above all, a unique voice exploring the margins, the possibles, and the becomings. chose is their space of creation and freedom, a playground for artistic and identity experimentation. A blazing breath in a daily life too often constrained. From slam to rap, from poetic chanson to contemporary electro-pop, one constant runs through this journey: writing. Through writing, chose builds, dismantles, plays, and asserts. Homografía is proud to present an engaged artist whose sharp and powerful songwriting will resonate in the Beurscafé.**

**Free entry.
In collaboration with the Trans* Solidarity Fund Belgium: in Belgium as elsewhere – at a time when LGBTQIA+ rights are increasingly under threat – trans* people continue to face multiple forms of precarity, isolation, violence, and erasure. Thanks to the donations it receives – all of which are fully reinvested into its aid programmes – the fund provides direct, material, and automatic support to precarious trans* individuals living in Belgium. This support does not involve humiliating or bureaucratic procedures: it is based on principles of trust, dignity, and urgency. In a world that too often denies their humanity, TSFB reminds us that trans* people deserve to live fully – with recognition, respect, and joy.
