Biography
Marco Torrice works as a dancer, performer, choreographer, and teacher. He moves between
physical theatre, contemporary dance, and street dance. He is often inspired by how physical
and non-physical impulses arise, transform, and collide, and how the body negotiates between
instinct and choice, hesitation and action. Desire, pleasure, fear, and pain shape his artistic
universe, not just as personal experiences or emotions to express, but as forces that reveal the
power structures woven into our society.
Born and raised in Rome, where he studied philosophy, he moved to Brussels to train at
P.A.R.T.S. He has worked with dance companies such as Rosas and Mossoux-Bonté and for the
Hungarian dance company Hodworks. He currently collaborates with Belgian choreographer
Leslie Mannès. He has created several performances, including Me, Myself and I, Kitty 2012,
Centipedes, Decameron, Liminal, and Melting Pot. He also teaches at international institutions
such as P.A.R.T.S., SEAD, A.P. Hogeschool, ISAC, B.C.D.A., and PERA.
