Biography
Coppi is a young dancer and performer born in Belgium with Spanish and Italian heritage, currently residing in Brussels. Their academic journey includes studies at the Béjart’s House in Brussels and the Palucca School in Dresden. He recently graduated from the University of the Arts in Amsterdam and participated in the young talent program of Scapino Ballet in Rotterdam during the course of his studies. Developing now a freelance base in Brussels and abroad. They participated in performative projects such as; « Cursed and Crossed » from Charly Ange Fogaroli in Charleroi Danse, «Chiroptera » from Damien Janet in Paris Opera, « CKETJA » from Maash collective for the fashion clash festival in Maastricht, « Cruce » from Marcos Arriola in les Halles de Schaerbeek in Brussels, « Adriana Lecouvreur » from Gianni Santucci for liege Opera, « Plague of Doubts » from AOMAON collective for 4by20 festival in London, « Common Works » from Timothy Nouzak in BUDA art center in Kortrijk, as much as films/videos projects such as; « L’Opéra » serie from Cécile Ducrocq and Benjamin Adam, « La bête dans la jungle » movie from Patric Chiha, « NightShift TV » from government Gent, 10th year anniversary campaign from Zalando.
Coppi grows themselves as a versatile and curious performer-dancer. They don’t see limits through what medium movement as a communicative tool can be researched and exploited.
